We desperately need our practices to find connection with our planet, and it’s so sad that some people think buying crap is essential for their spiritual work. How does this make YOU feel? Thank you so much for the beautiful comments and m Thank you so much for the beautiful comments and messages about my recent post expressing my heartbreak over the destruction of a piece of land dear to me. I’m holding in my heart your tenderness but also the heartbreak you have experienced over land that so many of you shared 💔 It’s so hard to hold these feelings and the s base of powerlessness it can raise, but there is reassurance to be found in connecting to the deep ancestral knowing of our bodies that tells us land can’t be owned. I’ve previously made videos on YouTube about our lacking Right to Roam and some the physical barriers to forging relationship to land, and this is another facet of our forced disconnection. If you long to further discuss our connection to land in a politically aware community as I do, I created the wild:folk radical spirituality circle for us! This is the heartbreaking side of forging relation This is the heartbreaking side of forging relationship to land 💔 In lockdown I committed myself to this land, a place I had been on and off for years but has become a regular companion and teacher. About 3 months ago I was up on our sacred hill and saw big yellow machines in a copse and saw smoke rising and I was scared for the land. I visited again about 2 weeks later and broke down after stumbling into the bare and bruised Earth where the copse had been torn up. After reading Land Healing by the wonderful @druidsgardenart I asked the land what it wanted and was asked to bare witness and give blessings. I visited today with this intention and despite the new growth, it remained heartbreaking 💔 I sang my witness and changed my blessings and vowed to return to continue. That we should live in an age where land can be randomly destroyed like this is unfathomable to me. But the land needs us as we need the land, and like any relationship there are hard times. I’d love to hear about your relationship to your special places. Honour the land while we have it folks and it honours you in return . . .
